Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hi, I'm Becca! I'm in my 2nd year of the chemical engineering PhD program here at Northwestern. In my research, I use computers to study the chemistry going on in paints as they dry and change over time.

In my free time I love to grow houseplants, go to group fitness classes at the gym, and re-watch Bob's Burgers for the millionth time.

S421: Chemistry of Paint in Splash 2019 (Apr. 06, 2019)

Chemistry is all around us, even in works of art! In this class, we will talk about the chemistry behind paint drying and the differences between mediums artists use. We will also try mixing our own paint and paint a still-life with this new appreciation of art + science.
