Are there any permission slips required for attendance at Splash?
Yes, we ask that all students under 18 have a parent/guardian sign this form from Northwestern. Students 18 and older may fill out the form for themselves. It also details the current Covid-19 policies at NU. You can submit the form either by emailing it to us at splash@u.northwestern.edu or by bringing it in print to check-in the day of the event.
How involved should I be in the class selection process?
Splash is a great opportunity for students to experience a taste of the life of a college student. One important tenet of our program is to enable students to explore their own intellectual curiosities. Therefore, we highly encourage letting your child pick their own classes. Are parents allowed at Splash?
On the day of the event, we do not allow parents to shadow their child or to sit in on classes to give them to have the opportunity to freely explore topics that interest them and interact with other students. Exceptions to the no parent policy will be made for children who have learning disabilities.Donate to Splash!
Splash is funded by Northwestern's Materials Research Center which allows us to keep our program donation-optional. If you are willing to do so, you can elect to donate to Splash during your child's registration process. These contributions are optional but are incredibly helpful in supporting Splash at Northwestern and other Splash programs around the country for years to come.Questions or Concerns?
