Teach for Splash at Northwestern!

Splash 2018 will run on Saturday, April 7th!

Teacher registration is now closed! You can still help volunteer by e-mailing us.

The Splash team is excited to plan this year's program! Please stay tuned for updates on registration dates and details.

Are you an expert in Chicago graffiti murals? Want to teach people about the Fibonacci sequence, as applied to rabbits, or the mysteries of Schrodinger's cat and quantum mechanics? Have some life hacks that you simply must get out? You should teach for Northwestern Splash!

What is Splash?

Splash is an outreach event that invites high school students from the Chicagoland area to come to Northwestern and participate in classes put on by Northwestern students like yourself! Splash brings the community together by allowing people to teach about topics they're truly passionate about and allowing high school students to take classes on topics they wouldn't otherwise learn about in school.

Splash is a great experience for those really enthusiastic about hobbies or topics they love to talk about and for those who are really interested in teaching. We bring you students that picked your class because it sounded interesting! You can also teach with your friends for more fun or teach a class with your student organization to provide exposure and outreach. Also, all teachers will get a snazzy free Splash t-shirt!

I'm interested in teaching! Where do I begin?

Check out our REGISTER page! It'll get you started on making an account on our website and signing up to teach a class.

This sounds cool, but I don't think I have anything I want to teach.

No worries! If you're looking for cool ideas, take a peek at previous class catalogs located in our IDEAS page.

If you're not interested in teaching, but you want to help out, we're looking for volunteers to help Splash run smoothly. Get in touch with the directors at splash@u.northwestern.edu.
