Brief Biographical Sketch:

Praneet Adusumilli is a PhD degree candidate in the department of Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University. His graduate work consists of studying novel source-drain contact materials for tomorrow's transistor devices in microelectronic chips. He received a bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 2006 from the Banaras Hindu University, India. He has authored 5 peer reviewed publications and has won many academic awards including the prestigious IBM Ph.D. Fellowship.

In this class you will get a broad review of all types of energy technologies that span Supply (where does our energy come from), Demand (where and how is the energy used), and Storage & Transmission (how can we hold on to energy for later use and for far away locations). This is a review class, no major math or science needed - just a desire to learn more about our energy future. Includes hands-on demonstrations.
