Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hello,
I'm a Sophomore student at Northwestern. I plan on majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. I'm looking forward to teaching at SPLASH and hope to make class dynamic, interesting, and fun!

S170: Contemporary Medical Issues: The Story of AIDS in America in Splash 2012 (Mar. 31, 2012)
In this class, we will take a brief but illuminating look at the AIDS epidemic. We will examine what makes the HIV virus so deadly and hard to fight, how it first spread from a population of hundreds to millions, and the costly toll it has had on society. Finally, we will discuss why it spread so quickly in the homosexual community of San Francisco. This class will also include discussions that will enable students to share their views on the epidemic.
