Year of Graduation: 2014

Brief Biographical Sketch:

I grew up in scenic Cleveland Heights, OH, cultivating a passion for the humanities. At Northwestern I've played on the Ultimate Frisbee Team, danced on a 30-hour Dance Marathon, played cello in the Philharmonia, and studying to be a DJ on WNUR's rock show. Taking fantastic classes at Northwestern drove me to study History and Sociology, with hopes of becoming a professor and researcher in one of these fields. I hope I can communicate my enthusiasm at Splash Chicago.

H176: Theories of Revolution in Splash 2012 (Mar. 31, 2012)
How do societies change? Why do revolutions happen? Why do revolutions happen where they do? These questions have been posed by economists, historians, sociologists, and political scientists. In this class we will explore various understandings of why revolutions come about in an interactive seminar, drawing on famous examples like the French Revolution and the Arab Spring.
