X684: An Unofficial Tour of Northwestern! in Splash Spring 2024 (May. 25, 2024)
Ever wanted to see what Northwestern (or any college campus) is like? You've come to the right place! We'll be heading on an abridged tour of Northwestern, hitting as many important landmarks as possible. Unlike a regular college tour, I'll try my best to fit my tour to any interests you may have. Please note that I am not an official tour guide! If you'd like to register for an official Northwestern tour by trained tour guides, you can do so on the Northwestern website.

A559: Drawing the Human Form in Splash 2022 (Apr. 02, 2022)
Ever wondered why your drawings of people don't come out looking quite right? Why even your simplified style seems a bit off? Want to improve your technical skills in drawing? This is the class for you! This class will be focused on realism in graphite, charcoal, and pen. We will tackle both the human body and the face as we practice line strength, exaggeration, and anatomy. We will work with a (clothed) live model as we explore motion and proportion. All supplies will be provided, just bring yourself and a willingness to create and learn!

S518: Who Done It - An Introduction to Forensic Science in Splash 2020 Fall (Online) (Nov. 14, 2020)
How do forensic scientists figure out what happened at a crime scene from looking at the evidence? What are the ways that this interpretation fails? We will be learning about the different modes of forensic analysis, from fingerprinting to weapons analysis to fiber analysis, and how they can be used to solve a crime. Through the examination of a mock crime scene, we will attempt to solve a "murder" by applying forensic skills to a problem. We will also learn about the failures of forensic analysis in how they are applied in the American justice system.
