Brief Biographical Sketch:
Hi All! I'm a 3rd year PhD student at Northwestern studying how the brain acquires and stores memories when it is learning new skills. This was a big change from my work in college where I studied the physics of melting and freezing when materials are confined to nanoscale environments. (Turns out melting and freezing are very different in very small places!). Working in very different fields of science means I can (and love to) talk about all sorts of scientific topics. I'm also interested in helping aspiring scientists develop the skills necessary to do quality science, especially skills that are necessary across all fields. Science is not my entire life though; outside of science, I enjoy writing poetry, playing bass guitar, and going to concerts. Feel free to ask me about any or all of this!
